CREATIVE the worst IT company for product support in my opinion.
Disappointment over CREATIVE Troubleshooting.
Poor Attitude to Problem with Creative Prodikeys Keyboard.
CREATIVE offers me a taste of things to come.
CREATIVE End of service life policy strikes again.

So you figured CREATIVE were a caring company…
well Im afraid I have some bad news for you.

 

Have you heard about there EOSL policy

This is Creative’s End of Service Life Policy…

The serviceable life of there products turns out to be only 3 years … after that you can get lost as far as they are concerned so I found out in a recent email sent to me by Becky, a support person from there world wide support team… What a joke.

A very disappointing experience with Creative Customer service…

 

 

In an attempt to gain some help from Creative product support, I reported a problem to the Creative help support desk with the Prodikeys Creative PC-Midi key board with obvious driver problems in an attempt to do a Creative Prodikeys PC-Midi Keyboard Troubleshoot and got this response.

Dear Simon,

Thank you for writing in to Creative.

As the product has been launch in the market for quite sometime, I am sorry to inform you that the requested support is no longer available due to product hardware limitation/ End of Service Life EOSL product. Thus, we regret that we are unable to provide you the manual, accessories or any/updated software drivers.

In summary, an End of life policy after 3 years is utterly criminal… This is NOT a computer with parts that need to update … but simply a peripheral that will work with any operating system well into the future…

The quality of this device is also in question…

The Creative Prodikeys PC-Midi Keyboard is quite simply a very cheap plastic toy music keyboard stuck on a very creaky and noisy conventional keyboard… totally without quality and utterly nothing special and very far from the quality I was expecting in the first place from a CREATIVE product.

The fact that the Creative Prodikeys PC-MIDI drivers always had issues and I actually had to buy a product to even uninstall it properly as the uninstall program just stopped mid uninstall in order to attempt a reinstall...

So if you have similar problems with CREATIVE products … drop me a line and I will post them here.

I have now received 4 emails from creative... here are the other three... it seems like they have lots of different personelle on my case... none of them prepared to lend a hand...

Simon, as your Prodikeys PC-MIDI has reach its end of service life at a minimum of 3 years from its initial shipping date, we are no longer able to provide hardware or software support. This may be due to a lack of available replacement inventory or parts and also advancements in technology and operating systems.
